Jere Dutt appointed volunteer chair for Boston 2026 World Expo
By Linn’s Staff
Jere Dutt of Doylestown, Ohio, has been named the volunteer chair for the Boston 2026 World Expo, public relations chair Thomas Fortunato said in a Jan. 13 press release.
“Volunteers are the heartbeat of any stamp show,” Dutt said, “especially one on the scale of Boston 2026. The size of this event will be a challenge to ensure all goes smoothly and is a great experience for both volunteers and attendees alike.”
Dutt is a nationally recognized philatelic exhibitor and judge celebrated for his expertise in Dahomey/Benin and the French Colonies. He has shared his knowledge through presentations, virtual programs and publications, and he serves on the boards of the American Association of Philatelic Exhibitors and the APS/APRL finance committee. He is president of the France & Colonies Philatelic Society, having previously served as its corresponding secretary.
Outside of philately, Dutt is a third-generation officer at Dutt Enterprises, a company specializing in personal and household products. He is an active Rotary member and a supporter of the Akron Art Museum and Akron Symphony Orchestra.
The Boston 2026 World Expo will take place May 23-30 at the Boston Convention and Exposition Center. Details and email sign-up information are available at www.boston2026.org and via the expo’s Facebook, X and Instagram pages.
