Botanical Art stamps to be issued by the USPS Jan. 29

The United States Botanical Art set of 10 stamps will be issued Jan. 29, 2016, during Ameristamp Expo, the annual winter stamp show from the American Philatelic Society.
The show is taking place Jan. 29-31 at the Hilton Atlanta, 255 Courtland St. NE in Atlanta, Ga.
The Botanical Art issue is the first for 2016 to have its issue date confirmed by the United States Postal Service.
The stamps will be issued in a double-sided pane of 20, convertible booklet format. The set features 10 different designs showing flowers, with each design appearing twice on the pane.
Each stamp features a detail of an illustration from an American nursery catalog printed between 1891 and 1912. The catalogs are part of the New York Botanical Garden’s Nursery and Seed Catalog Collection, one of the largest and most important collections in the United States.
