APS to announce new director of shows
The American Philatelic Society will introduce its new shows manager this week, according to the latest APS member newsletter.
In a short listing recounting recent staff changes, the posting for shows manager read "An announcement will be made the week of May 11."
The new shows manager will fill the vacancy left by the departure of Dana Guyer, who became the American Stamp Dealers Association's executive director March 1.
The APS recently revealed that Jeff Stage is joining the editorial staff May 18, and that Wendy Masorti is taking on the duties of director of Internet sales in addition to her work as the APS webmaster.
No announcement has been made about the position of APS education director. A notice that the position was open was posted on the APS website when it was announced that the current education director, Gretchen Moody, was leaving the APS to move with her husband to another state.
The postings for that full-time position, and for the executive director position, were still shown May 11 on the APS employment page.
