ATA donates to Boston 2026 World Expo

By Linn’s Staff
The American Topical Association donated $2,500 to the Boston 2026 World Expo, with another $2,500 donation planned for 2024, Thomas M. Fortunato, public relations chair for Boston 2026, said in an Aug. 31 press release.
American Topical Association executive director Jennifer Miller informed the Boston 2026 officers about the donation following a successful Great American Stamp Show in Cleveland Aug. 10-13, Fortunato said.
“ATA is looking forward to active involvement in the show,” ATA president Dawn Hamman said. “As you know, topical collecting is a growing segment of our hobby, and an excellent way to attract non-collectors to the hobby. We want to start promoting the show to our membership now, as people will need time to plan for the big trip. There are a lot of good topics related to Boston!”
Founded in 1949, the American Topical Association is the world’s largest collecting organization specializing in subject-related philately. The association has almost 50 study units and publishes the bimonthly journal Topical Time.
For more information about the American Topical Association, visit the website, or write to the American Topical Association, Box 2143, Greer, SC 29652-2143.
Boston 2026 World Expo will take place May 23-30, 2026, at the Boston Convention and Exposition Center. Show details and instructions to sign up for email updates can be found online and via the expo’s Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages.
