Collectors Club of Chicago continues Boston 2026 support
By Linn’s Staff
The Collectors Club of Chicago will make yearly donations of $5,000 to the Boston 2026 World Expo, Thomas Fortunato, public relations chair for Boston 2026, said in a July 16 press release.
This follows an initial $5,000 donation in March 2023.
“We are thrilled to be able to support Boston 2026,” CCC president Melanie Rogers said. “This event will be a phenomenal opportunity for collectors from around the world to come together to enjoy and celebrate our beloved hobby and fellowship.”
According to the club’s website, the CCC was incorporated in 1928 and works to document, preserve, advance and promote philately through education, research and services.
Since 1967 the club has made its headquarters in the Cabeen House, a renovated brownstone located in Chicago’s historic Gold Coast neighborhood. The club regularly hosts monthly meetings accompanied by a dinner and invited speaker.
Membership into the CCC is offered by invitation. Those interested in more information can contact the CCC at email@collectorsclubchicago.org.
Boston 2026 World Expo will take place May 23-30, 2026, at the Boston Convention and Exposition Center. Show details and instructions to sign up for email updates can be found on the Boston 2026 website and via the expo’s Facebook, X (formerly known as Twitter) and Instagram pages.
