By Linn’s Staff
Two upcoming United States Postal
Service stamp issues will be issued at World Series of Philately shows in April
and May Linn’s has learned.
The 10 Dahlias forever stamps in a
double-sided pane of 20 and coils of 3,000 and 10,000 will be issued April 25
at the Westpex stamp show in Burlingame, Calif.
USPS art director Greg Breeding used
close-up photographs by Denise Ippolito in the design of the stamps.
A first-day ceremony for the Dahlias
stamps is anticipated to take place at the Westpex show at 10 a.m. with a
Postcrossing meetup scheduled immediately after at 11 a.m.
Ten forever stamps showing digital
illustrations of baby animals created by artist Tracy Walker will be issued May
23 at the Rocky Mountain Stamp Show in Aurora, Colo.
The show website shared that a first-day ceremony is planned
for 11 a.m. and that a Postcrossing meetup is also scheduled to take place that
day. Additional event details are still to be announced.
Further information regarding these two stamp issues will be published in a future issue of Linn’s.
