The United States Postal Service
announced in the Dec. 12 issue of the Postal Bulletin three issue dates
for new 2025 stamps.
The Year of the Snake forever stamp
will be issued Jan. 14 in Boston, Mass. The ceremony is set to take place at 11
a.m. Eastern Standard Time at the Wang Theater at the Boch Center, 270 Tremont
St. Those interested in attending can RSVP online at usps.com/lunarnewyearsnake.
Ceremony participants include Luke
Grossmann, USPS chief financial officer and executive vice president, and
Isabel Kim, chief financial officer of the Asian American Foundation.
The new Love stamp will debut Jan. 17
in Kutztown, Pa., hometown of artist Keith Haring whose artwork appears on the
stamp.
The new nondenominated ($1.65) 1794
Compass Rose global forever stamp will be issued Jan. 24 in Peachtree Corners,
Ga. That date coincides with the first day of the Southeastern Stamp Expo show,
which takes place in that location. The show has not posted a schedule of
events, but a first-day ceremony seems likely.
Additional details on these stamps will be included in a future issue of Linn’s.
