The Southeast Federation of Stamp Clubs will host the 2025 Southeastern Stamp Expo Jan. 24-26 at the Hilton Atlanta Northeast, 5993 Peachtree Industrial Blvd., in Peachtree Corners, Ga., about 20 miles northeast of Atlanta.

Show hours are 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday. Parking is free. Admission for the weekend is $7 per family. Admission includes two raffle tickets for prizes that include a United States 1847 5¢ Benjamin Franklin (Scott 1) and an 1869 2¢ Post Horse and Rider stamp (113).

On Jan. 24 the show will host a local first-day ceremony for the nondenominated ($1.65) 1794 Compass Rose global forever stamp. A Postcrossing meetup will occur at the show on the same day the stamp is to be issued.

The show will feature more than 140 frames of exhibits and a bourse (sales area) with 20 dealers. Experienced stamp collectors will be on hand to provide evaluations of inherited stamp collections.

The Southeastern Stamp Expo is an American Philatelic Society World Series of Philately exhibition. The multiframe grand award winner will qualify for the Champion of Champions competition at the Great American Stamp Show to take place Aug. 14-17 in Schaumburg, Ill.

The single-frame grand award winner will be eligible for the single-frame championship at the Chicagopex show near Chicago Nov. 21-23.

Exhibits at the Southeastern Stamp Expo will be judged by an APS-accredited jury chaired by Kenneth Trettin. Also on the panel are judges Rick Gibson, Ed Kroft, Matthew Liebson, Patricia Walker and apprentice Daniel Knowles.

An awards banquet is scheduled for 6 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 25, at the show hotel. The cost is $65 a person, and tickets must be purchased before Jan. 22. Queries can be sent by email to Foster Miller at fmillerfdc@gmail.com.

The show theme is the 250th anniversary of the U.S. postal system with Benjamin Franklin as the first postmaster general. The theme will be displayed in exhibits, presentations and special philatelic displays.

The show will feature the following presentations: “History of the US Postal System,” “Benjamin Franklin – First Postmaster General,” “1901 Pan-American Issue,” “1893 Columbian Issue” and “Designing First Day Covers and Show Covers.”
