July Minnesota Stamp Expo canceled

By Linn’s Staff
The Minnesota Stamp Expo originally scheduled for July 21-23 has been canceled. Notice of the cancellation was posted June 13 on the show’s website.
Since 1999 the show has been held at the Crystal Community Center in Crystal, Minn.
According to an article posted on the show’s website, the city of Crystal started a substantial renovation of the center’s main parking lot in the spring.
“The renovation is more than a simple repavement; it involves installation of a large storm water collection tank under the parking lot,” the show said.
Show representatives were initially told that the construction project would take roughly one month to complete.
In early June, it was learned that the project had fallen behind schedule and would stretch into August, according to the show.
“The show committee considered options for holding the show as scheduled, including staying at the Community Center and trying to come up with alternative parking options, or relocating the show to another suitable venue,” the show said.
The 2024 Minnesota Stamp Expo is scheduled for July 19-21 at the Crystal Community Center.
