Linn’s, Scott seeking seminar suggestions for 2024 shows

Philatelic Foreword by Jay Bigalke
Looking ahead to next year, the editorial teams for the Scott catalog, Scott Stamp Monthly and Linn’s Stamp News are contemplating various talks or short seminars to take place at stamp shows in 2024.
One of the obvious likely venues would be at the Aug. 15-18, 2024, Great American Stamp Show at the Connecticut Convention Center in Hartford, Conn.
In the past, the magazine and newspaper editorial teams have given generic talks on what the publications look for in article and feature submissions.
Scott catalog editors have discussed new issues and the basics of using the catalog.
I wanted to use this editorial as an opportunity to get some feedback from readers to see what might be of interest.
What content would you want to see in a short talk? Or a longer talk?
What sort of seminar would you be interested in that you would be willing to pay a small amount to participate in to cover supplies costs? Or what kind of seminar would prompt you to travel to a show or another venue? Or even participate online?
Feel free to send your thoughts via email to linnseditorial@amosmedia.com or write to us at Linn’s Stamp News, Editorial Team, Box 4129, Sidney, OH 45365.
Even though next August is months away, we hope to start planning soon to make for a more meaningful experience for you the collector and for our team who might attend the Great American Stamp Show.
