Show hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. Admission and parking are free.

Okpex will feature a bourse (sales area) of 12 to 15 dealers, and the United States Postal Service will have a booth at the show. There will also be informal collection appraisals and a youth table with buckets of free stamps.

Okpex is an American Philatelic Society World Series of Philately qualifying show. The exhibitor winning the Okpex multiframe grand award will qualify for the Champion of Champions competition at the Great American Stamp Show in Hartford, Conn., Aug. 15-18.

The Okpex single-frame grand award winner will qualify for the single-frame Champion of Champions competition at the Chicagopex in Itasca, Ill., Nov. 22-24.

The exhibit jury for Okpex will be led by chief judge Frederick Lawrence. Fellow judges include Michael Ley and Matthew Liebson.

This year’s show theme honors the bicentennial of forts Gibson and Towson in Oklahoma.

On Saturday, June 29, the Oklahoma Philatelic Society will conduct its annual meeting at 9:30 a.m., and the American Association of Philatelic Exhibitors will host an open forum on exhibiting at 1 p.m.

Also on Saturday, winners of the second annual Okpex raffle drawing will be announced at 3 p.m. Prizes include a Scott Specialized Catalogue of United States Stamps and Covers donated by Main Street Philatelics, and a pair of stampless covers of Fort Gibson and Fort Towson.
