Postal Updates
Winter Fun stamped envelopes temporarily unavailable
One of the three packs of 10 United States Winter-themed forever stamped envelopes issued Oct. 1 were temporarily removed from sale.
The pack of 10 Winter Fun stamped envelopes, showing bird watching and building a snowman, are bundled with five of each design and a sheet of envelope seals.
“There was not a problem with production,” said Postal Service spokesman Mark Saunders. “We are waiting on an additional shipment of Winter Fun Holiday Envelopes with seals.”
He explained, “We removed this item from sale until we received confirmation we would be receiving more.”
The USPS received confirmation Nov. 18 and anticipates the envelopes to begin shipping from Stamp Fulfillment Services in Kansas City, Mo., Dec. 8.
Also issued Oct. 1 were two other packs of 10 stamped envelopes: one pack with two different snowflakes designs and another pack with a poinsettia design. Both of those envelope packs have remained available for sale.
