Two ceremonies for U.S.-Japan joint issue
The United States Postal Service has announced a second event for the Dogwood and Cherry Blossom joint issue in Washington, D.C.
As reported previously in Linn's, the April 10 first-day ceremony is taking place at the Tidal Basin at the Welcome Area Performance Stage (near the Paddle Boats) at 1501 Maine Ave. NW.
The 11 a.m. ceremony is free and open to the public.

The next day, April 11, there will be a special dedication stamp ceremony at 2 p.m. during the annual Sakura Matsuri Japanese Street Festival.
This Saturday event will take place at the Pennsylvania Ave. stage, 13th Street on Pennsylvania Ave. There is a $10 festival admittance fee for ages 13 and older.
