British Machin stamp images added to Scott digital catalog

Philatelic Foreword by Jay Bigalke
In early June, the Scott Catalogue Digital Subscription received quite the enhancement in the Great Britain section.
Images of the hundreds of different major Scott catalog-listed British Machin stamps featuring the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II were added to the Great Britain section.
Shown nearby is a screen capture of a two-page spread from the MH (Machin head) section of Great Britain. The MH section of the print edition of the Scott Standard Postage Stamp Catalogue, Vol. 3, is largely text with only a few images scattered throughout when there was a design change worth picturing.
The digital catalog allows you to zoom in on the stamp images, too, which should aid collectors greatly in locating a certain Machin variety for their collections.
There are two digital subscription options for accessing the Machins. One is the Vol. 3 Scott Standard Postage Stamp Catalogue. This option allows access to all of the Vol. 3 countries (G-I).
The other is the British Commonwealth catalog, which is an exclusive grouping of listings of 160 stamp-issuing entities only offered online.
The scanning project for all of the Machins was one I personally tackled along with others on the Amos Media Co. team. I also want to thank Jet Stamps of Rhode Island, Telah Smith of Ohio and Alexander Haimann of Missouri for lending Machin stamps to us to scan.
