Pillars of Creation Priority Mail, other U.S. stamps off sale March 31

Thirteen United States stamp and
postal stationery issues (a total of 45 items) issued from 2012 to 2024 will go
off sale at post offices, philatelic centers and other postal locations on
March 31.
The affected issues are the 2012 $10
Waves of Color stamp (Scott 4720), 2024 $9.85 Pillars of Creation Priority Mail
stamp (5827), 2024 $30.45 Cosmic Cliffs Priority Mail Express stamp (5828),
2021 Barns nondenominated (36¢) postcard-rate stamps (5546-5549, pane;
5550-5553, coil), all 12 varieties of the 2017 nondenominated (49¢) Barn
Swallows stamped envelope (all Scott U696), 2021 Day of the Dead forever
commemorative stamps (5640-5643), 2023 Year of the Rabbit forever commemorative
stamp (5744), 2023 Toni Morrison forever commemorative stamp (5757), 2023 Tomie
dePaola forever commemorative stamp (5797), 2023 Historic Railroad Stations
forever commemorative stamps (5758-5762), 2023 Thinking of You forever special
stamps (5803-5807), 2021 Happy Birthday forever special stamp (5635) and 2022
Holiday Elves forever special stamps (5722-5725).
Notice of the upcoming withdrawal
from sale of these stamps was published in the Feb. 20 issue of the Postal
Bulletin, the news publication for U.S. Postal Service employees published
every two weeks.
As of Feb. 20, the online Postal
Store at only had the Holiday Elves stamps available for
purchase.
It is possible that the Priority and
Priority Mail Express stamps are still available at Stamp Fulfillment Services,
but via phone at 844-737-7826.
Some of the stamps not currently available at Stamp Fulfillment Services may still be available at some post offices nationwide.
